This is a full-time position, ideal for someone with previous experience in a four or five-star hotel or fine dining environment. You should be able to effectively work as part of a fast-paced team and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will report directly to the Executive Head Chef. Key Responsibilities of Pastry Chef de Partie:<ul><li>Set up and run the pastry section efficiently and independently.</li><li>Assist the senior chef in the day-to-day pastry operations.</li><li>Prepare and present high-quality desserts for à la carte, banqueting, and afternoon tea service.</li><li>Ensure consistency and quality across all pastry offerings.</li><li>Train and mentor junior pastry staff, sharing skills and supporting development.</li><li>Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and organisation on your section.</li><li>Conduct ordering and stock rotation for your area of responsibility.</li><li>Always uphold food safety and hygiene standards.</li></ul> What are we looking for?<ul><li>Proven experience in pastry and dessert preparation in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of classical and contemporary pastry techniques</li><li>Creativity and attention to detail in presentation and flavour</li><li>The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards</li><li>Excellent time management and clean, organised work habits</li><li>A collaborative attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team</li><li>Commitment to food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen awareness</li><li>A genuine passion for pastry and delighting guests through beautiful and innovative desserts</li></ul> Red Carnation Hotels is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
