We are seeking a professional and welcoming Gate and Doorman to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional first impression and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience, as well as the privacy of the estate. This position reports directly to the Estate Manager.

Location: Ashford Castle

Employment type: Part-Time

Working pattern: This varies - up to 5 days per week, typically would be 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities of a Gate and Doorman:

• Warmly welcome guests and assist with luggage handling upon arrival and departure.
• Provide courteous and efficient assistance at the entrance, opening doors and guiding guests.
• Offer helpful and knowledgeable advice about Irelands attractions, transport, and local amenities.
• Answering general guest queries and ensuring the lobby and front area of the hotel is presentable and clean at all times.
• Keeping the estate private for our residents, and interacting with the locals of the area.

What are we looking for?

• A positive and welcoming attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or hospitality setting.
• Ability to handle luggage and assist guests efficiently and professionally.
