We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a visible and passionate hotel professional who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment and enjoys being at the heart of the operation. Working closely with the General Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, seamless departmental collaboration and the consistent delivery of Forbes Five-Star standards throughout the property.
The ideal candidate will have previous operational leadership experience within a luxury hotel environment, strong commercial awareness, outstanding attention to detail and a genuine passion for personalised service. As a true Red Carnation Hotels ambassador, you will be highly visible across the hotel, supporting and inspiring teams, engaging with guests and ensuring that every aspect of the operation reflects the exceptional standards for which The Egerton House Hotel is renowned.

Working pattern: 5 days out of 7, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required by the business.

Key Responsibilities of an Operations Manager:
- Supporting the General Manager with the overall day-to-day operation of the hotel.
- Leading by example and maintaining a strong, visible presence across all departments.
- Ensuring Forbes Five-Star standards are consistently delivered throughout the guest journey.
- Working closely with Heads of Department to drive operational excellence and service consistency.
- Monitoring guest satisfaction and identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
- Supporting commercial objectives through effective operational planning and cost awareness.
- Collaborating with central departments including People & Culture, Finance, Sales & Marketing and IT.
- Driving effective communication, training and engagement across the hotel.
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, fire safety and company policies.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement across the operation.
What are we looking for:
- Previous experience in a senior operational leadership role within a luxury hotel environment.
- A hands-on management style with the ability to lead from the floor.
- Exceptional guest service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of hotel financial performance.
- The ability to motivate, support and develop teams across multiple departments.
- A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach.
- Experience working to Forbes Five-Star or equivalent luxury service standards would be advantageous.
