Switchboard Operator - Luxury Hotel

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Switchboard Operator to join our team at at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests and visitors via phone and email, ensuring efficient and seamless communication. You will be responsible for redirecting calls, assisting with daily administrative tasks, and providing outstanding personalised service. Your ability to maintain professionalism and attention to detail will ensure that every guest interaction is smooth and efficient.

Employment type: Full-time

Working pattern: Shift work 5 days on 2 days off

Key Responsibilities of a Switchboard Operator:

Answer and redirect calls in an efficient manner in accordance with our RCH standards.
Assist with daily administrative tasks and follow up with guests via email and telephone.
Have a thorough knowledge of the hotel products, our people and services.

What are we looking for?

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Computer literate with experience in using hotel management software or switchboard systems.
Friendly and professional with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A positive, proactive attitude toward guest service and team collaboration.
Previous experience in a switchboard operator or customer-facing role is a plus.
