We are looking for a Barback to join our wonderful team in our stunning hotel. We are looking for someone with previous bar experience within a hotel or luxury setting with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail who enjoys being part of a high performing team.

The Rubens at the Palace Hotel is a stunning five-star property located in the heart of London’s Victoria and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. This wonderful hotel has been fully refurbished and features 161 individually designed bedrooms and suites, as well as a range of Food and Beverage outlets including The English Grill Restaurant, The Curry Room Restaurant, The New York Bar, The Palace Lounge and Champagne Bar, as well as 9 well equipped function rooms.

Key Responsibilities of a Barback:

Support Bartenders by restocking bar supplies, glassware, ice, garnishes and beverages.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, cellar, storage areas and ensuring health & safety standards are met.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the bar, replenishing stock and cleaning tasks.
Provide efficient, behind‑the‑scenes support during busy service periods to ensure a smooth and seamless guest experience.

What are we looking for?

Previous bar experience in a Barback role, ideally within a hotel or luxury hospitality setting.
Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for providing excellent service to guests.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards.
A proactive and friendly attitude with a focus on delivering personalised guest experiences.
A team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
