Accommodation Manager – Luxury 5* Hotel.
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Accommodation Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Accommodation Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a high-standards environment and is confident operating with autonomy while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
Reporting to the Executive Accommodation Manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of the daily running of the department, making operational decisions and ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional standards across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations. With the full support and guidance of the Executive Accommodation Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining outstanding guest experiences and delivering service excellence in line with Forbes standards.
Location: Cong, County Mayo, Ireland.
Employment type: Full time.
Working pattern: 5 days over 7 days (including some weekends and Bank Holidays).

Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Accommodation Manager, the Accommodation Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the department, leading the team, managing operational decisions and ensuring exceptional accommodation standards across all areas of the hotel.
- Lead daily briefings, task allocation, productivity, and room turnaround.
- Liaise closely with Guest Relations, Front Office, and F&B to deliver seamless guest service.
- Oversee guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas and laundry operations.
- Conduct daily room inspections in line with Forbes and Ashford Castle standards.
- Manage maintenance reporting and follow-up to ensure timely resolution.
- Lead, train and develop Room Attendants, Linen Porters, Supervisors and Trainees.
- Support performance reviews, appraisals, cross-training and performance management.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, labour planning, workforce management and succession planning.
- Manage rosters, attendance and productivity using Alkimii.
- Control stock levels for linen, guest supplies, chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and chemical safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, service quality and guest experience.
- Analyse daily reports and room status trends to identify issues and implement proactive solutions.
- Promote wellbeing initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive team culture.

- Technically capable and confident using modern housekeeping systems, ordering platforms, and operational dashboards.
