We are currently seeking a Painter to join our Maintenance team at our luxury hotel. This full-time role is ideal for a proactive and hands-on individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining the highest standards.
As part of the management team, you will play a key role in ensuring the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and grounds are consistently maintained to an exceptional level, supporting both operational excellence and an outstanding guest experience.

Employment type: Full Time
Working pattern: 5 Days over 7 Days (including some weekends and Bank Holidays)

Key Responsibilities as a Painter
- Liaise daily with Management, Maintenance, and Housekeeping teams to prioritise and coordinate painting and maintenance tasks
- Carry out all painting and decorating works to a high professional standard, ensuring minimal disruption to guests at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, using appropriate protective materials (e.g. dust sheets) and adhering to best practices
- Clearly display safety signage (e.g. wet paint signs) and maintain strong awareness of guest and colleague safety at all times
- Manage and maintain the paint store, ensuring it is kept organised, secure, and compliant with safety standards, including proper storage of flammable materials
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and equipment safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures
- Take a flexible approach to working hours, including evening or night work where required to minimise guest disruption
- Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g. Porters, Grounds, Maintenance) to support the overall operation of the hotel
- Plan, prioritise, and complete tasks efficiently, escalating works and coordinating external contractors through the Maintenance Manager where required
- Support the wider maintenance function in a hands-on capacity, assisting with general maintenance duties as needed
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally within a hotel or high-end environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality finishes
- Flexible, hands-on approach with willingness to support general maintenance duties
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational needs
- Relevant painting/decorating qualification (desirable)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Team player with good communication skills and a guest-focused approach
