We are currently seeking a dedicated Conference & Banqueting waiter/waitress to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role, outstanding communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering personalised service to our guests and contribute to the smooth operation of our conference and banqueting services. This position reports to the Assistant C&E Manager.

Location: The Rubens at the Palace Hotel

Key Responsibilities of a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor:

Provide prompt, professional, and personalised guest service at all times.
Maintain a thorough understanding of Conference & Banqueting menus, as well as the beverage offerings, including bar and wine lists.
Be present on the floor during service periods and ensure service quality.
Ensure all food and beverage products are served according to company standards and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
Participate in training and development activities within the department, while actively promoting suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience.
Help to set up events independently and follow function sheets.
Liaise with organisers and attendees of events to ensure they have the correct service.

Previous experience in a Conference & Banqueting role in a similar business.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
Proactive, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to the department's success.
Knowledgeable about food and beverage service and strives for excellence in all aspects of guest interaction.
