We are looking for a Meetings & Events Waiter/Waitress to join our family. We are looking for someone who has excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and has previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel environment. This role will be reporting into the Meetings & Events Assistant Manager.

Working pattern: 5 days on 2 days off depending on the business/events

The Rubens at the Palace Hotel is a stunning five-star property located in the heart of London’s Victoria and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. This wonderful hotel has been fully refurbished and features 161 individually designed bedrooms and suites, as well as a range of Food and Beverage outlets including The English Grill Restaurant, The Curry Room Restaurant, The New York Bar, The Palace Lounge and Champagne Bar, as well as 9 well equipped function rooms.
Key Responsibilities of a Meetings & Events Waiter/Waitress:
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Helping to look after events and meeting, including setting up function spaces/rooms.
- Be fully familiar with all menu items and products available to offer informed recommendations and answer guest questions.
- Ensure tables are cleaned, set up to the highest standards, and maintained throughout the service period.
- Engage with guests and provide attentive service, ensuring every experience is memorable.
- Maintain all food service areas to the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with hotel standards.
What are we looking for?
- Ability to connect with guests and provide personalised service with a warm, professional attitude.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of service and presentation are consistently met.
- Collaborative and positive attitude, with the ability to work seamlessly within a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or meeting & events setting.
